What is TheDrinkPlace?
TheDrinkPlace is a U.S. drink-discovery site. It lists beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails, and places such as bars, restaurants, and stores that serve or sell them. TheDrinkPlace does not sell, warehouse, ship, or deliver alcohol.
Does TheDrinkPlace sell alcohol?
No. TheDrinkPlace does not take alcohol orders and does not ship alcohol. Some product pages may link to a retailer. Checkout, if any, happens on that retailer’s site.
Why do users need to be 21+?
The site is about alcohol. Visitors confirm they are 21 or older before using it. That confirmation is stored for 365 days so the prompt is not shown on every visit.
How does place, menu, and availability information work?
Place pages show a business name and street when we have an exact location from an approved source. Menu and offering lines appear only when they come from a source we can cite. We do not turn a nearby business into an in-stock claim.
What do source and observed dates mean?
A source is where a fact came from, such as an official license file or a venue page we recorded. An observed date is when that fact was seen. It is not a promise that the menu or product is unchanged today.
Does appearing nearby mean something is in stock?
No. A nearby place means the business is listed near you. It does not mean a specific drink or bottle is on the shelf or on the menu right now.
How can a business claim or update a listing?
Use Claim a listing in the footer. A claimed business can correct public details we already show. We do not invent inventory, prices, or reviews for that listing.
How can someone report incorrect content?
Use Report content in the footer. Include the page URL and what looks wrong. We review reports against the source on the page.
How does privacy work at a high level?
You can browse without an account. If you create one, we store the details needed to run the account, such as email and saved drinks. The public site loads Google AdSense. We do not sell your personal information. The privacy policy is at /legal/privacy.
