TheDrinkPlace collects information you give us (such as email, saved drinks, ratings, and business-claim details) so we can run the product. We may keep hashed technical logs for affiliate clicks and site security. We do not sell your personal information. Signed-in search, save, and taste history stays private and is used only if you leave “Use my activity to improve recommendations” on. You can clear searches, edit tastes, or delete your account. We do not keep a precise GPS trail. Google Places details, when shown, are live/supplemental. We may store a Google Place ID. Google ratings are Google’s, not ours. If you tap “Use my location” or “Explore near me,” the browser may share a one-time location so we can rank nearby places. We do not silently track you. We do not keep a location history, sell precise location, or give GPS coordinates to businesses. Analytics, when used, are coarsened (city/ZIP or hashed technical logs) — not a trail of exact coordinates. Contributor profiles show a display name and Pink Dot counts only. We do not publish your email, GPS history, or private account details. Public copies of photos have unnecessary EXIF/location metadata stripped when we can detect it.
